Camping is a real snoozefest—unless you meet a werewolf.

Eleven-year-old Lyssa Klarken hates camping. Until she learns Candis Campground is home to a wealth of werewolf rumors.

When they arrive at the campsite, a poster for a missing boy catches her eye. Later that night she finds a wolf pup with a suspiciously high IQ who looks oddly familiar. Could the rumors be true after all?

Only one way to find out.

Pranks are the best thing about Halloween — until a ghost pulls one on you.

When 11-year-old Lyssa Klarken discovers the legend about her ballet school being haunted is true, she thinks she’s won the candy-filled jackpot.

But treats turn to tricks when Nadia, the ghost of a star ballerina, starts pranking her. Nadia only agrees to leave Lyssa alone if she frees her from her unfinished business. There’s just one problem: Nadia can’t remember what that is.

Lyssa has six days to figure it out and save Nadia from torment. If she fails, the tables will turn: Lyssa will be haunted for the rest of her life. Can she solve the mystery before the curtain rises on October 31st?

Baking is already hard, but if you add magic? It’s impossible.

Eleven-year-old Lyssa dreams of one more holiday season with her entire family. Except, her paternal grandparents haven’t spoken to any of them in almost two years.

A local baking competition seems like the perfect way to bring everyone back together–– if only she wasn’t a terrible baker! When a shopping trip leads her to a potion guaranteed to grant her heart’s desire, her problems should be solved.

But instead of a perfect holiday, Lyssa gets an unexpected guest: a snow spirit with wonky powers who can’t go home until she grants Lyssa’s wish. Can Lyssa and her new winter headache set their differences aside long enough to find the true meaning of the season? Or will blind ambition and ruthless competition make this a holiday everyone would rather forget?

Story Snippet

The only thing I love more than acing a superhard ballet combo is pulling off the perfect prank. Every year during October, all the students at the Boston Institute of Dance, or BID, have free rein to pull the best Halloween prank on anyone they want—even older classes and dance mistresses and masters! Halloween is my favorite holiday, but since starting at BID, I’m team tricks, not treats.
